FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is a food and beverage minimum?A food and beverage minimum is the monetary amount of food and beverages that must be achieved within the space reserved, the night of the event. If the minimum is not met, the remainder will be placed on the final bill as a room fee. Food and beverage minimums cannot be reached by gift certificates, carryout food or bottles of wine and only pertain to food and beverage consumed during the time of the event.
Is a deposit required and is it refundable if I need to cancel?A 25% reservation fee is due at the time of the reservation. An additional 25% reservation fee is required sixty (60) days prior to the Event date. The remaining estimated charges shall be due and payable no later than three (3) business days prior to the Event Date.- Cancellations. Licensee may cancel this Agreement at any time prior to the Event Date by paying to Licensor the following scale termination fee:- More than 1 year prior to Event Date $100.00- Less than one (1) year but more than nine (9) months prior to the Event Date 25% of the Food and Beverage Minimum- Less than nine (9) months but more than six (6) months prior to the Event Date- 50% of the Food and Beverage Minimum- Less than six (6) months but more than three (3) months prior to the Event Date- 75% of the Food and Beverage Minimum- Less than three (3) months but more than five (5) business days prior to the Event Date- 100% of the Food and Beverage Minimum- Less than five (5) business days prior to the Event Date- All estimated charges based on final guest count- The foregoing cancellation fees are not penalties.- They are in consideration of the resources spent by Licensor in booking the Osteria Via Stato for Licensee and for the lost opportunity in not booking with another party in the interim.
Am I required to guarantee a certain number of guests?All contracted groups are required to provide a guaranteed number of attendance three (3) days prior to the events. In the event of guest cancellations after the guarantee has been submitted, the host will be charged for the guaranteed number.
When do I select the menu?Due to seasonality, we schedule tastings 4-6 weeks prior to the event. Please keep in mind that we are extremely accommodating and almost any item on the menu can be altered or substituted. In addition, we are sensitive to any dietary needs and are able to accommodate most with adequate notification.
Do I select a beverage package?Each of our wedding packages includes a full bar, open for four hours and options to add beverages for dinner service. Last call is at midnight, unless otherwise determined. Bars are also available on a complete consumption basis, in lieu of a package bar.
Do I need to leave a tip?Gratuity is at your discretion, with standard being 18%- 22%.
Planner FeeA 4% planner fee will be added to the final bill. This fee includes:- A tasting for four guests, 6-8 weeks prior to the event.- A guided rehearsal 1-2 days prior to the event.- Three hours of supervised vendor set-up prior to the event.- Final meeting and walk through of event space with vendors, musicians, etc two weeks prior to event.- Assistance with floor map, venue set-up and management of all ceremony set-up, tear down and room flips.- Cue speeches, dances, cake cutting and any other special events.- Set-up personal wedding items including place cards, florals, cake table, gifts, family-keepsakes, etc.
